Well, hello world! So I'm currently at my bestest friend Leah's casa helping her clean and unpack her room because... SHE IS HOME FROM COLLEGE! Just thought I would offer that tidbit of information with ya'll! :: Adios, Austin ::
School has been becoming more and more stressful. Then again what else is new? Junior year has been stressful all year, then again it's like "the most important high school year?" I don't know. I'm just really happy that this year is almost over and that New Orleans is only two weeks away. This weekend is most definitely needed. I'm so happy that it is Friday tomorrow! Next week will be full of AP exams, lucky me! :: Austin ::
So it is safe to see that Mullarkey really doesn't like me. His comment on my SGA nomination form was "a nice young man - not my best student." I'm sorry but that was completely unnecessary. Oh well. He still approved me which is all that matters. In other news, today was a pretty decent day. I didn't do much in my classes because everyone was tired and over it and didn't feel like doing any actual work, including some of my teachers. Let's just say, I didn't mind it. So my feature about Riptide, the new Adventure Island ride, will be in the paper next Monday (most likely - has yet to be confirmed). I think I did an okay job but then again I have my editor and my most important critic, Lyndsey McKenna, singing my praises. Hey, at least they think it's good. That's all that matters! Tomorrow is Alexis' birthday and I am so pumped! 17 days until New Orleans! :: A ::
I wish spring break could go on forever. Spring break this year was filled with so much great stuff. I got to watch my gorgeous best friend compete in the Jr. Sungoddess pageant. I got to hang out with two awesome guys from Salesian High. I found out that I am going to New Orleans. Remembering that school is over in 4 weeks. Hanging out with Ms. McKenna for Austin & Lyndsey day. Visiting my dream college. Oh, yeah the dream college thing. Let's just say, I found my new home!
All I have to do now is get in! =)
Time for me to do something productive! But sometimes, blogging is productive! :: Adios, Austin ::So I am pretty much loving spring break so far and I still have a week left before I go back to school! This morning I woke around 8 and laid in bed 'till around 9:30 and then went and go some IHOP breakfast with Nicole and then went to visit Kelly at Target. Let's see what my to-do list has in store for me today... 1. Run on Treadmill. 2. Cleaning. 3. Showering. (essential!) 4. Buying my New Orleans plane ticket. 5. Writing something for my editor at the Times. 6. Calling Michelle for a delicious recipe. (yes! I am cooking!) 7. Getting everything ready for tomorrow night. 8. Finalizing my plans for this weekend! Oh! You may be wondering about number four. Well yes, I am going to New Orleans to visit my Mindy and all my friends at Immaculata and Archbishop Shaw High! I'm so pumped! It took a lot of convincing and long talks with my parents but it finally was decided that I am going! I cannot wait! 24 days and counting - I leave May 11th! Let's go see how much I get done. :: Austin ::
I cannot believe that it is already Sunday and in one week and a day, I will be going back at school finishing out my junior year. I don't want Spring Break to end. I love the time off. I just need to make the most of these next couple days. Happy Easter to ya'll! I woke early this morning and went to church, then went to have breakfast at Perkins, which was very good. And now I am just doing some family stuff and then chillin' around the house. Let's see...I'll lay out this coming week here! =) Monday (Tomorrow) - Possibly going to look at my new car. Possibly doing homework. Tuesday - Lisa's house for barbeque for the Salesian High boys that are here. I need to make something for that! Get me trying to cook! I love it. Wednesday - Packing for Orlando and the Jr. Sungoddess Finals @ 8pm. Thursday - Leave for Tally, Visiting Leah @ FSU, Dinner with Leah Friday - Leave for O-Town, Visiting Christine @ UCF, Lunch/Dinner with Christine Saturday - Spending the day in O-Town. Possibly stay overnight? Sunday - Coming home and doing homework. I'm off to my aunt's house now for some Honey Baked Ham - ahhhh amazing! =) :: Adios, Austin ::
Things have just been so crazy lately that it's been so much! The attempt to convince my parents to let me go to New Orleans in May has been more work than I had orignally thought. It's just a big deal to see their oldest son try and break from his overprotective bubble he lives in and experience something on his own. I mean I won't be on my own, I would be with Mindy, but still. We had a talk about it tonight which left me with an uneasy feeling because we never established a decision. It was more like, "We will talk about it tomorrow." I need to get on that plane ticket thing, but my dad doesn't really realize that. Spring Break is finally here. It seemed like it took an eternity plus one to get to this point of the year, but it's here and I am so pumped! My plans are kind of tentative. Austin + Lyndsey day tomorrow. Misc. stuff over the weekend. Bar-B-Que with the Salesian High boys on Tuesday. Leaving for FSU & UCF on Thursday (most likely). I'm pretty pumped so far. But I have a nice load of homework to do as well. Gosh dang! Oh and I just found out that I am going to be doing the St. Jude's 7th grade retreat on the Tuesday we return from Spring Break! I'm so excited! =) Well, I must be going. I have to get up rather early tomorrow for the festivities! :: Ciao, Austin ::
I am officially done with my research paper for Mr. Mullarkey! Let's just say it was a "doozie!" All I have to do is fix my outline and then I am off to bed early tonight. No 3 hours of sleep like last night, that's for sure. Wednesday is not coming fast enough. I love how some of my teachers are expecting us to do all this amazing work by Wednesday. Then again, I complain about homework so much and I really shouldn't. I mean I might as well just get it over with. It's just so hard to do it when you have had such a long day at school. Spring Break Plans? Hmmm... not final yet. Chillin around St. Pete this week/weekend, running errands, hanging with friends. Easter on Sunday. Next week? Hanging with Lyndsey on Monday, Barbeque at Lisa's for the Salesian High boys that are down from NYC, then hopefully leaving for my FSU & UCF trip on Wednesday or Thursday and coming home Sunday! We'll see how it all works out. :: Goodnight, Austin ::
Research papers suck... ...thank god I am almost done with mine! :: Austin ::
Prom was amazing! I had so much fun! I was so proud of Annie, Karla, and the other junior SGA members for putting on such a flawless event. Everyone had a great time, as I knew they would. I have posted pictures on my Yahoo! Photos album. [click] I'm kind of sad because we didn't do our OLR & MLR prayer service tonight. Something came up and J-Mac called me and asked me to call everyone else. I really needed it tonight b/c I am uber stressed. This week will hopefully be a good one. SHS inductions are on Wednesday night which are always fun. SAT tutoring tomorrow. I'm not sure what else. Hopefully not too much. :: G'night ya'll, Austin ::
I am so excited that prom is tomorrow. It is going to be so much fun and I'm so excited that all the plans worked out. But with prom comes so much to do! I picked up my tux yesterday and it's awesome! But, the pants they sent me had a tear in the butt. =( So they ordered me a new pair and I'm picking them up today. Also today, I am going to get my car washed. Caroline's Girl Scout troop is having a car wash to help raise money today for their Europe trip this summer. I want to support and at the same time my car needs a wash so it's all good. I also need to clean my entire house considering that everyone is coming here to take pictures before prom. It won't be fun =(. Well I'm off to do these errands considering I have just been procrastinating and putzing around my house. :: Adios, Austin ::
