Today, at school, we celebrate the feast of St. John Bosco, the founder of the Salesian order which runs our school. We had a huge mass with parents, other guests, and students from Mary Help of Christians School and another Salesian elementary school from Tampa join us. We had an extended version of the praise band too, which did really well. Brittany and Kathleen did this awesome song during mass. It was so good! Then after mass, we had a field day, which is always fun - especially when people are pegging Mr. Jenkins with whipped cream pies. After that, everyone that was there got in to a huge circle around the football field. It was really amazing! WE GOT A DAY OFF - in honor of St. John Bosco, but it is still yet to be scheduled (it will probably be next Monday - day after Super Bowl). After field day, a bunch of us went and got some lunch because we didn't want Irv's hot dogs. Tomorrow - St. Jude's Cathedral School Science Fair! It will be fun! The ten of us have 200 projects total to judge! That means, 20 a judge! This will be interesting! :: Adios, Austin ::
The one day that I actually take the extra time to look good and not go to school grunge, it rains. Let's just say my attempt to not get my hair wet by putting a hood on in the way to school this morning didn't work as planned! With all the moisture in the air, my hair just got grosser and grosser! Oh well, during Algebra 2, I made a rendevous to the bathroom and just got rid of the flipped up style and replaced it with a normal un-gelled look with the help. So I basically just rambled about my hair for a paragraph long. Wow, way to sound metrosexual Austin! In other news, today was the normal Monday. Everyone was tired from their miscellaneous activities this weekend and were unmotivated for school work. Tomorrow is Don Bosco Day! Which means - 1st and 2nd period (both my least favorite) and then Mass and then field day. Then on Wednesday, I will be judging the St. Jude's Cathedral School Science Fair! This should be interesting, as in I am not a science student at all! These next two days are going to be nice! :: Peace out ya'll, Austin ::
I'm not ready for this weekend to be over. I didn't get to sleep in at all. Oh well. Friday - Initially, Amber was working at Carmelita's so we were going to go visit her. But then at the last minute she got off and went to Orlando. But, Nicole and I went anyway! =) It's always fun! Then I made an appearance at the Boys' Soccer game and we are now DISTRICT CHAMPS! Heck yes - Robby scored the winning goal! It was crazy! Saturday - I woke up super early and did some bonding with my dad. After that, I was home and trying to find something to do. Thanfully (after 4 attempts at trying to get a hold of her) Nicole called me and we went and visited Amber! =) Today (Sunday) - Woke up early and went to church. Now, I'm going to make a run to Target. After, I'm coming home and doing homework. Hope ya'll had a good weekends too! :: Adios, Austin ::
Today went by so fast because I was so busy. First period dragged on like usual, but after that everything went by really quick. I had a nice meeting with Mo and J-Mac that lasted like a good hour and half. We talked about so much! We shot more senior superlatives today. They are crazy! I cannot wait to make the spread for the yearbook! I am NOW a judge at the St. Jude's Science Fair next Wednesday! I am not the science wiz but it was cool to be asked! It should be fun! I'm also helping J-Mac plan a skit for the Focus 11 6th Graders in two weeks. It will be a good one! I'm really excited. After school today, Mo asked me if I would like to do Thought of the Day on Monday, in honor of Catholic schools week. My topic is how my catholic education has shaped my character. It should be interesting! We're working on it after-school tomorrow. I'm pretty excited that the weekend is upon us! Plans? I may be going to dinner tomorrow night at Carmelita's with a bunch of people and then Saturday, I will probably help Alexis pack for her big move in! A busy day and hopefully a busy weekend. :: Adios, Austin :: EDIT: I had to change my grammar when I was talking about the St. Jude's Science Fair.
I love Wednesdays! Why you may ask?!? Well, let me tell you. I was going to anyway but since you asked, it's all good! Wednesdays mean that you have 2 days of school behind you and only two more days left until the weekend! My Wednesday was pretty good. I was really busy at school, but it's okay because being busy makes the day go by so much faster. We definitley rocked our Spanish debate today! It was intense. I'm going to go eat something now. I'm pretty hungry! Then I'll do my Vocab while I watch American Idol!!! Maybe I will try and go to bed at 10 tonight? That's an option that is looking pretty good right now! Thanks for listening to me ramble. Ya'll rock! :: Adios, Austin ::
About three weeks ago, if you asked me if I was stressed, I would probably blow up because basically shit hit the fan that first week back to school. Teachers were pissing me off and I just had too much to do, with not enough time. After a much needed talk with Mr. Preston and my March Leadership Retreat essay out of the way, things are looking up. I want MLR more than probably anybody in the entire school. I put my heart and soul into that essay and that's all I could do. We'll see how it all turns out next week! I am getting along with everyone and having a really good time. Yeah, school is still school, but I'm trying to make the best of it. I'm off to bed early tonight. I have been up till about 1am these past couple nights and I cannot do it anymore. :: Goodnight ya'll, Austin ::
This weekend was pretty fun. On Friday, I went to get some T. Smoothie and then brought it to the Girls Soccer District Game, which is always fun b/c we get to watch Kanks. But then we had to go inside for the Girls Varsity Basketball game and it was senior night! Coach Van said a lot of touching stuff and I think there were definitely people crying. He sounded a little choked up himself. Then Lisa, Megan Vu, Katie, Cindy, and I went over to Steak & Shake. Random - I know. But we had fun! On Saturday, I just cleaned my house and did some grocery shopping. Then Katie, Cindy, Alexis, Annette, and Olivia came over and we had movie night. Which ended up turning into, Miss. America pageant night. But then again, I had 5 girls over. We had fun though, making fun of the contestants. Oh yeah, Miss. Oklahoma won and she didn't deserve it. Miss. Georgia deserved it more! Today (Sunday), I was a lazy bum once I got home from church. I'm going to be a bum more now, but a productive bum. Oxymoron right? I'm going to lay on the couch and watch tv but at the same time do Senior Superlatives! See, See? Get it?!? Well, it's time for a new week. Hopefully it will be a good one. I got my hopes up for sure! :: Peace out ya'll, Austin ::
I am so excited that the weekend is almost here. It's probably pretty bad that I keep counting down the days until the weekend, but then again, school has been dragging on beyond belief. Teachers are just making me mad, but I have to deal with it. Words cannot explain how much I hate drama. I try to be a nice person all the time but once something happens that I try to help make metter, let's blame the drama on the nice kid. I mean, c'mon now! What is up with that?!? I feel like I am in 7th grade again. Ugh! Oh well, I need to get going. I'm procrastinating... :: G'night ya'll, Austin ::
All day I thought it was Monday. I hate those days when you come back to school later in the week and your schedule gets all messed up. When I came home, I had messages waiting on my away message from Kelly Marie, Barbara, and Tina telling me it was not Monday. I had put "At School. It's Monday - ugh! Be home later!" I'm retarded. Oh well. Today was a pretty good day overall. Can't really complain, nothing too big happened. Happy Birthday to mi padre! =) American Idol starts tonight! Who's watching it with me? =) :: Peace out ya'll, Austin ::
Considering I haven't written in this thing since last Wednesday, I'll give this thing an update. The end of last week felt so good. School was dragging on and I needed the 3-day weekend. On Friday night, I went to the Varsity Girls Soccer game. Unfortunately, we lost but we KILLED at our Boys Varsity Basketball game against our rival, CCC! On Saturday, I didn't do much during the day until The Snow Ball a.k.a. Winter Formal. Want to see pictures? [click] Yesterday (Sunday), I helped Alexis and her Mom at their new house! We were h-core cleaning and painting for almost 9 hours, excluding the hour for lunch and dinner. Well, today, I'm off to go do more at Alexis' new house! :: Adios, Austin ::
Thank God that it is Wednesday! I'm getting more and more excited about The Snow Ball on Saturday. The dinner plans are finally working out. I still need a shirt though! That's what tomorrow is for! After school today, I met up with Ashley one last time before she goes home to New York City a.k.a. "The Big Apple" to her new apartment on Sunday! I'm so happy that she has an apartment now! She has been trying to find one for so long and now everything is working out! We went and got some coffee after she stopped at her dad's office to get a Fed-Ex envelope for the apartment contract. I love her to death and will miss her more than life itself, as usual! Maybe I can talk my mom into a trip up there sometime soon?!? Hmm...I'm not so sure about that, but it would be so much fun! You never know!!! =) I'm off to bed! :: Peace out ya'll, Austin :: PS - If you are wondering about this entry's title...it's an inside joke between Ashley and I. =)
School today went pretty well. Nothing too thrilling happened. Rachel and I did our usual talk about random things during Algebra 2 - which is always entertainining. I fricken love that girl! So the rest of this week is going to be pretty busy - but as Annie made me realize today, "busy is good because you get so much done!" It's true. I still have yet to find a shirt for The Snow Ball. I think I'll do that on Thursday! =) I'm going to wrap this up now. :: Adios, Austin ::
Today was a pretty good day. I went into thinking that it was going to be horrible, but we had a SUB first period! Talk about a god sent! I was not ready to go to that class first thing in the morning. The rest of the day kinda dragged on. Karla and I did our interview skit in Spanish and did pretty bad. It wasn't our talking, it was what we were saying. It didn't congugate like we had hoped! Oh well! Attention SPCHS People: Please go to The Snow Ball! There are still tickets and I want to help the junior class SGA have a really good turn out. A lot of people don't want to go, but I promise it will be fun! Please!!! =( :: Adios, Austin ::
I feel like the weekend just started! I don't want to go back to school tomorrow! Ugh...oh well! :: G'night ya'll, Austin ::
School just dragged on last week, so this weekend was a sigh of relief. It was just because we had been on a break and it was taking us all time to get back in the school mode. Last Night (Friday) - We celebrated Katie and Cindy's birthdays! We made so much food! I attempted to make seven layer dip, which turned into two layer dip because I didn't want to add all the other stuff (i.e. tomatoes, lettuce, black olives, etc.) It tasted pretty good. Of course, it tastes better when Michelle makes it. Then again, Katie and Cindy's mom brought up the point that everything tastes better when someone else makes it. It's very true. Today - It's Father Lauber's Birthday! I ran errands with Nicole to get stuff for Mr. Chris' birthday. She baked him a cake, which I'm sure turned out amazing. Tomorrow - I have church early in the morning. After that, I am probably going to relax and just do homework. :: Adios, Austin ::
...one of the worst days of this school year, so far! I had a killer headache all day and some of my teachers weren't helping much. The morning pretty much ruined the day because for some teachers can't be supportive of their students. Ugh! Oh well - it's over. Today was a new day. Today, thankfully, went a lot better than yesterday. I'm ready to start this next semester. I have decided that I am going to work ten times harder than I already do. I already work really hard but now it's time to work harder. I have to finish this year off strong! Time for a little relaxation. The FEW minutes that I look forward to at the end of each school day. :: Adios, Austin :: PS - Happy Belated New Year 2006 ya'll! Hope it'll be a good one!
Well, we'll see how the first day back after two weeks goes. It should be interesting! :: Adios, Austin ::
