I am so excited that prom is only a week away. It's going to be so much fun! I got my tux yesterday with Alexis and it looks awesome! The lady who measured me was sooo weird and completely physco but it was entertaining. Let's just say I have the best date ever! =) Let's just say it seemed like everyone and their mother decided to do errands today. I could not stand how packed Target was. At least I got to see my Kelly hard at work. Wait... or was it hardly working?!? No! She is a good one! So I have decided to resign as Track & Field Team Captain. I was there for more than half of the season and loved doing it. But in reality, it's too much extra stuff right now. I should really be focusing on my more important responsibilities like school and the yearbook. You may be thinking that I am quitting due to Mr. Jenkins' resigning earlier last week. I'm in no way influenced by it at all. I wanted to be manager anyway. It just so happened he was coach and asked me to do it. I'm also not leaving because of Coach Ehlert being the new coach. He is an awesome track coach and has been coaching track for over 14 years. I wish the team the best of luck as they finish the season next month. I will leave now and continue my conversation with Miss. Lyndsey McKenna! :: Adios, Owstin :: P.S. - Owstin is the nickname that J-Mac has given me! P.S.S. - Everyone should sign up for facebook. If you need someone to invite you, let me know!
Please continue to pray for the Rasdall family. I appreciate everyone who has thus far and I know her family does too. Thank you very much! :: Austin ::
So overall, I really can't complain. Life is good. I don't want to sound like I am bragging b/c I'm not in any way. I'm just reflecting. I am so lucky that I have such amazing friends that have been so supportive of me, which includes my people from MLR! I miss them a lot but they are always around in spirit. I am so excited that prom is less than 2 weeks away! It is going to be so much fun! School is going pretty well. Trying to catch up was crazy but thankfully I am done for the most part! I'm so happy that we are in the 4th quarter and that school will be over in like 7 or 8 weeks. I'm getting really pumped because I'm going on a trip over spring break to look at colleges. I think we are going to FSU, UM, & UCF. It will be fun to get away for a few days but at the same time I have to keep focused about college. It's crazy that I am already trying to figure out all of my summer plans. So far this is what I have... June - Summer School Assistant and completing a course through the University of Miami Online High School. July - Family vacation of some sort, not sure where yet. August - Getting ready for senior year and going back to school. That's just the beginning stages of the summer planning. We'll see what else gets added. I'm going to go do homework now and get to bed early! :: Austin ::
It's hard to believe that it has been almost a week since MLR. I miss them all. Thank god for e-mail and AIM! Things have been so crazy lately. School has been super busy because I was getting all my make-up work done amongst helping with track and doing yearbook stuff. Thankfully I have a long weekend! Tonight I am going to do my homework considering I won't have much time tomorrow to do it because of the St. Paul's Festival. I definitely don't want to do it on my day off! :: Austin ::
Why? Why don't I live in New York? Why cannot I be with the MLR 2006 people all the time? Why do I live in Florida? Why is it so hard to not be attached to the amazing experience I just witnessed? Why does everyone live so far away? Why cannot everyone live within logical driving distance? Why do I miss last week so much? Why? All I know is that God has a place for me right here, right now in Tampa Bay, Florida. I trust him always and know that he will guide me down the right path. :: Goodnight ya'll, Austin ::
Wow! I cannot believe that I leave on Monday for the Salesian March Leadership Retreat! It's crazy! I have no packing done and have done very little shopping. That's what Saturday is for! Last night all the MLR kids went to mass and dinner @ Bennigans. It was a lot of fun! So I have been out of school for three days now because I have had some sort of virus. I probably have the worst immune system ever right now. I need to get some vitamins in me before I go to the snow in New York. Thankfully my dad got me a Z-Pak, which is the best antibiotic ever! You seriously feel like a new person when you are done with it! I am feeling a little better today, but my throat hurts really bad. I have been having a lot of trouble eating lately though. At dinner last night, I had 4 bites of my potato soup @ Bennigans, which is odd because I usually devour it because it's so good. Thank you to everyone who prayed for the Rasdall and Gorman families! I really appreciate it and I know the families do too. I'm going to go lay down or something! :: Adios, Austin ::
